Flying hours vary month to month. Guaranteed flying hours pay is contractually fixed, so rate × hours × 12 is a safe annual projection. Additional flying allowance, night halt allowance and deadhead move with the actual roster flown — use the client's trailing 12-month average rate and hours/halts, not one payslip's figures, or the annual projection will be off.

On the flying/Sec 10(14) allowance: exemption for pilots' flying and per-diem pay is tied to actual expenditure and CBDT/tribunal precedent, not a flat notified slab — most airline payroll (as on the payslip this planner is modelled on) treats it as fully taxable at source and leaves the exemption, if any, to be claimed at return-filing. Enter a figure here only once the client's CA has substantiated it; it's treated as exempt in both regimes.

Basis & scope: built to the slab structure, standard deduction, Sec 87A rebate and surcharge rules notified for FY 2026–27 (AY 2027–28) as confirmed following Budget 2026 — new regime slabs 0/5/10/15/20/25/30% at ₹4L steps up to ₹24L, ₹75,000 standard deduction, ₹60,000 rebate up to ₹12L taxable income; old regime 0/5/20/30% at ₹2.5L/₹5L/₹10L, ₹50,000 standard deduction, ₹12,500 rebate up to ₹5L. Surcharge and its marginal relief are modelled at the standard 10/15/25/37% (25% cap under the new regime) slabs above ₹50L.

Salary structure: income fields mirror a typical airline payslip (basic, HRA, other allowances, reimbursements, guaranteed flying hours pay, additional flying allowance, night halt and deadhead allowance, EPF). Flying-hours-linked pay fluctuates with the actual monthly roster — figures entered here should be trailing 12-month averages, not a single payslip scaled up, or the projected tax will be off.

Not modelled: capital gains and other special-rate income, Section 54/54F/54EC property-sale exemptions, ESOP/RSU perquisites, HUF structures, Loss-of-License/GPA/wellness-scheme salary deductions (these reduce net pay but are not Chapter VI-A deductions unless a CA confirms otherwise), and disability deductions beyond the generic "Other Chapter VI-A" line. Sec 80EEA is excluded as it no longer applies to new sanctions. House-property loss carried forward is flagged but not tracked year-on-year.

This is a planning aid for Clover Capital's internal use and client conversations, not a filing tool or tax advice — please verify current-year rates and each client's specific facts before acting on the output.
